So, OK: that didn't completely suck. I mean, I'm still all antsy with the desire to watch my spacemen, but [livejournal.com profile] riverlight continued to rock my world, and came out to co-write with me, and much fun was had. Now, I'm just waiting for some wonderful people to upload things, but I have beer and BSG, so things aren't bad.

And my computer didn't freak out on me (much)! This makes, what, two whole days? Three? Dear computer, this is one of the many reasons you are getting replaced by a younger, sexier laptop.

But, in between the scifi channel spazhattery and my ordi's most recent fit of the collywobbles, I did a meme! *twirls* aren't you proud? It's the one where you post lines (or paragraphs, or snippets) from your WIPs. And, in this case, wordcounts, because I am a whore. (I only did the ones that I'm actively working on, though, because I'm a lazy whore.)

six lines (or paragraphs, or snippets...) from six partially-finished stories )

In conclusion: Beer. Also, Kara Thrace is hot like a hot hot thing. Also-also, [livejournal.com profile] riverlight and [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone continue to win at EVERYTHING EVER.

(did I mention how much starbuck is hot? DEAR HOLY GOD. I think I've just met my new TV girlfriend, except for how she's way too hot for me.)

So I've been writing, again—all of this in about 3 hours, and then 2 more for revisions. It's—an outtake, I suppose you'd say, from the story [livejournal.com profile] riverlight and I are writing: the crossover of dS and SGA. The story itself is going to be gen, gen, so very extremely gen, but when I was trying to work on it, this afternoon, it simply refused to be anything but porn. Not quite sure how we'll deal with this, when we actually write it, but that's a problem for another time. Just enjoy the pretty, pretty people.

Rated P for Porn and H for Holy Hannah, I can't believe I wrote this.
5425 words
Ray Kowalski / Benton Fraser / John Sheppard / Rodney McKay / Teyla Emmagen

For reasons that don't need to be explored at this juncture, Ray and Fraser are in Atlantis. )

I really have no excuse for this, do I? Oh well. [livejournal.com profile] riverlight betaed this, and kept me from committing many a crime against punctuation. All the good dialogue here is her fault. Actually, it's really all her fault, because she just sat there and was appreciative while I porned her all afternoon. thanks, darling!

So, ok, as I mentioned in my last entry, [livejournal.com profile] riverlight and I are writing a crossover of due South and Stargate Atlantis. We've spent the past several days plotting on it, figuring out how it's going to go and tossing ideas back and forth, but tonight was the first time we sat down together and actually wrote something collaboratively.

And, ok, first of all, I just need to say that [livejournal.com profile] riverlight is a joy to work with and I'm so glad we're married. She's a rockstar and I love her to bits.

But, ok, seriously—she and I are honest-to-god braintwins, in the best of all possible ways. As proof, I offer for your perusal this transcript of this evening's chat. Seriously, now: isn't this just a little bit weird? (but good! so good!) )

We report. You decide.

And, to my SGA people—I love you, still! and some day, I will write that story with Rodney in the hole, and the one with the civil war, and I've got the first half of what's maybe a pornlet sitting around here. I just—wow. This is insane, and marvelous, and so I'm afraid you're just going to have to wait for me to get it out of my system.

And, hey—if tomorrow's as insane as today was, I may be able to offer you cookies of Rodney McKay, Reluctant Canadian National Treasure.

love to all!

John and Fraser form the Women Are Scary, Where Can I Hide From Them? club.

Ray and Rodney, in response, form the Why Am I Working With Someone So Unaware Of His Own Sex Appeal, And Furthermore What Does He Have That I Don't? club.

Or possibly the Hands Off, Lady, Can't You See He's Not Interested? (And Anyway, He's With Me) club.

oh, our baby will be lovely. (Although I don't know that you want me to name it - I'm somewhat notorious for trying to get a friend to name her unborn child Obadiah.)
