Hello, beloved Yuletider! As ever, Optional Details Are Optional, but if you would like something more to go on, here are a few thoughts.
Generally, I don't care for: major character death, pining that doesn't get resolved, infidelity, rape, torture and abuse, high levels of gore, incest.
Generally, I like: gender weirdness, worldbuilding, snappy dialogue & banter, domesticity, teams, found families, smart and competent characters, characters who BECOME smarter and more competent over the course of the story, absurdly codependent bff pairings, absurdly codependent frenemies-turned-relucatant-allies-turned-lovers pairings, outsider POV, pining that gets resolved, bodyswap, telepathy, fucking around with gender, fake dating / pretending to be married / woke up married, nonsexual intimacy, cuddling (for warmth or otherwise), characters taking care of each other, negotiation of kinks, characters being awkward about their kinks but then finding a partner who validates and supports them, shenanigans.
Specific Fandoms: Worlds Beyond Number, Darling & the Cinderella Club, Sins of the Cities, England series, Nimona.
Worlds Beyond Number: At this point in time, I'm not caught up, but don't worry about spoiling me! Copying my prompts from last year, since I think they all still hold:
Literally anything in this world will make me EXTREMELY happy. In particular, though, the Witch class materials that have been released so far are absolutely fascinating, and I'd love anything that digs into that. What would Ame have been like as a Coven of the Claw witch? What happens when the three meet a Coven of the Wicked witch? And of course the spell Othershoes seems written as an invitation for shenanigans and/or emotional damage, either of which I would love. I'd also love to learn more about Sir Curran, or about Grandmother Wren. BUT if you don't feel like any of those are inspiring you, I'd be very happy with a story about Ame, Suvi, and Ersulon, either as kids or as adults, in any configuration.
Darling & the Cinderella Club: Genderrrrrrrrr. What does their second visit to the Cinderella Club look like? What does their day-to-day life look like? (If we matched on something else but you're not feeling it, this is a short read)
Sins of the Cities: I will keep requesting this until I get the Pen Starling fic my heart requires. PEN GIVE ME MORE PEN I WANT MORE PEN. I don't think a character has ever hit me more directly in the heart than Pen did, and I just—anything. Gender stuff! Relationship stuff! Stuff with Gret! ANYTHING. Futurefic would be great! Slice of life fic? Amazing, incredible. Bonkers tropes? Why not!!
England Series: Another wide-open request - I just enjoy these two so much.
Nimona: Again, I'm very flexible here. I love found families, and I love Gender Vibes, and I love a redemption arc, and this story delivers in spades.
