More to the point, there is also an oral component to the final exam! Which is in mid-December, which is...really not that far distant. HOSHIT. Hopefully that means that someday soon I will get a decision as to whether or not I am hired for next semester? *crosses fingers*

IN OTHER NEWS, I have been invited to a Halloween party! And Halloween is...the day after tomorrow! It's being thrown by some of the grad students I work closely with, and while I am fairly certain that they all secretly hate me, I am also pretty certain that I am being neurotic and incorrect in my opinions, and also that social interaction is good for me. So I need a Halloween costume! internet, what should I be for Halloween that is a) cheap and b) not too labor-intensive? I thought about wearing leggings as pants and a wretched plaid shirt and going as my students, but that might be a joke that would only be funny to me, and also I'd have to wear leggings as pants, which, NO.

oh mannnnn, if I thought I could get the necessary things together in time, I would SO do it. I...have white button-down shirts? But nothing more, and I kind of object to the idea of getting a vest just for Halloween (although, I mean. I could probably wear it to teach?).

idk, current wisdom is that I'm going to get some cat ears at CVS on the way home, staple a caption to my shirt, and be a lolcat. y/mfy/totes lame, but it's not like anybody's expecting you to be funny, so go with it!
