progeny! yipes!
never done one of these before...
Hee! I totally didn't see the first two minutes—not that there was a lot to miss, but I'm still glad I watched the rebroadcast, because Ronon spinning his guns and saying "I'm friendly"? Funny as all hell. Seriously—the brother and I fucking died laughing.
*sigh* oh, Show. When will you learn not to send all your important people through the gate at once?
who are these people? clearly un-Ancienty, but who?
Ronon's awesome.
I like how they have radios, and yet John still walks to check how Rodney's doing. Oh, Sheppard. If ever I start to feel like maybe I'm reading too much into this show, I can always count on you to remind me that oh, wait: still not straight. Hi.
Rodney wants to save John! flip a coin, oh, Rodney. oh, rodney.
wait, how can they dial earth? do they have enough power again and I missed it? ...then again, I don't keep very good track of these things...
*whimper* *gasp* *flail*
...oh. so they're not all dead. I knew that! And now I really want to know what they all saw—escape, attack out of nowhere, insurmountable odds, self-sacrifice all makes sense for John, but I want to know the others.
rodney pokes john's head to figure out if this world is real or not. dear rodney mckay, I love you forever and ever.
oh. so they're not people. That works, I guess - but, no, wait. why the interest in ascension?
yay elizabeth! you go into the simulated reality! get your brain sucked!
it's all rather asimov, isn't it? three laws, etc.
pop psychology for the robot people! it's just a phase, they'll grow out of it, they're rebelling against authority figures and lashing out...really, I have to wonder how Teyla and Ronon get that - or how much of that they do get. Dear Show, please discuss this.
Rodney on the radio - ooooh! McKay out. - too cute. Not helpful or reassuring, but really cute. and then, being brilliant and fast - "why don't I just go on these missions by myself, hm?" Dear rodney mckay, i love you more than life itself.
...OK, so Ronon. Ronon. First of all, he's a suspicious bastard and I LOVE IT, but also: did you all see that little flippy thing he did, when he was on the ground? it was a hip-twisty shimmy-jump thing, and it was hot. Dear Ronon Dex, you are sex on legs, and I love you to bits.
"again with the arbitrary numbers!"
Boom!
...wait, there are more of them on the planet? Which I guess makes sense if these guys are going to be the big enemy for s3, but still, yikes.
Ok, question: am I the only one who totally doesn't believe they're out? I mean, on one level I do, because I think the show would be more evident about it, more obviously cliffhangery, but at the same time, there's a part of me that totally doesn't trust them to actually be in reality now.
...Yeah. I'll try to be coherent about that later.
